Dr. Jeffrey Bauer, Health Futurist and Medical Economist

Jeffrey Bauer, Ph.D., a nationally recognized health futurist and medical economist, will forecast the future of health care and describe practical, creative approaches to improving the health care delivery system in What’s Next: The Hot Markets. He is a partner in the management consulting practice of ACS Healthcare Solutions, a leading provider of outsourcing, information technology and business solutions to the health care industry. Dr. Bauer has published more than 135 articles, books, web pages and videos on healthcare delivery. His latest books include Telemedicine and the Reinvention of Health Care: The Seventh Revolution in Medicine, Not What the Doctor Ordered and Statistical Analysis for Health Care Decision-Makers: Understanding and Evaluating Critical Information in a Competitive Market. Prior to his consulting work, Dr. Bauer was a full time teacher and administrator at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver for over ten years and served as Health Policy Adviser to Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm.
