Stephen F. Hamman, Divisional Vice President, Blue Cross Blue Shield

As Divisional Vice President, Steve Hamman is responsible for provider contracting, network management and provider relations for all Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois’ networks/products, including PPO, HMO, POS and related ancillary networks. In addition, Steve has responsibility for the Illinois provider phone center and provider connectivity / e-commerce development and marketing. He joined BCBSIL in 1991 and has served in a variety of roles there for the last 16 years. Mr. Hamman received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colorado College and an Master’s in Business Administration in information systems from Loyola University in Chicago.
