Dr. James R. Doty, CEO, Oncuris

Dr. James R. Doty. is a well known and respected neurosurgeon trained in radiosurgery on the LINAC, CyberKnife and Gamma Knife. As one of the co-founders of Oncuris, Dr. Doty brings over a decade of experience to the field of stereotactic radiosurgery. He has published extensively in the field of stereotactic radiosurgery and has been an advisor or consultant to a number of groups and/or institutions in developing Radiosurgery Centers of Excellence.

Dr. Doty has been a partner, investor in multiple radiosurgery facilities and has served as a consultant to major radiation therapy equipment manufacturers including Varian and Siemens. He was the founding Director of the Newport Radiosurgery Center in Newport Beach, CA and founding Co-director of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA. He is the former CEO of Accuray (NASD: ARAY), manufacturer of the CyberKnife. He also was CEO of a Siemens funded start-up to develop the next generation stereotactic radiosurgery device. He is a former faculty member in the Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University.
